STUDIO PARTIES

Our in studio, parties are the perfect way to entertain your special person and friends on their big day! Simply call to ask about our range of pottery and enjoy the use of our studio space and equipment during your groups visit. Although we cannot offer food for your party, we do have a range of hot and cold drinks and ready to eat snacks to purchase and we are also happy for you to bring your own cake/candles (plate and knife is available if needed). As we are a small independent business we do request that parties do not bring outside food onto the premises (excluding a celebration cake).
Due to the amount of groups which have been booking and then not bringing the amount of painters booked for, we now ask for a £5 per head deposit for groups over 12 painters, the £5 deposit is then refunded for each painter who comes in i.e. if you book for 12 and only 8 painters come on the day then we will refund £40 of your £60 deposit, this helps our small business minimise the loss of revenue for the extra table we have not been able to allocate to other painters (deposit cannot be used for non-painters).

Pottery Painting Parties: We do not have a set price list for pottery painting parties, as often one size does not fit all - so simply book a table and pay for what you paint! Once you have painted, your pots will be glazed & fired and returned within 7-14 days for you to distribute back to your party-goers.

Clay Workshop Parties: Our NEW clay workshops are aimed at participants over 8 years old (with no upper age limit!), the session is up to three hours long (workshop dependant) and full tuition is given for the the clay workshop of your choice, from the options shown below:

All the above parties include clay, full use of all our clay equipment, underglaze paint - to add a touch of colour on the day, drying, firing, glazing and a second firing. The process take about 6-8 weeks in total and your pots will be returned fully glazed. If your guests would prefer to paint their pots after the first firing with our selection of studio glazes, they are welcome to come for an additional visit for £10 each (which either you can pay for in advance or they can pay for on their second visit). If you choose to paint your fired pots in a separate session, they will take up to 6 weeks to be ready for painting and then they will be returned 7-14 days after you decorate them.

If you have a specific theme you would like us to create a clay workshop around, please contact us and we will always try to come up with a creative idea for you to try!
​PAINT AT HOME PARTIES
If you prefer a paint at home (or venue of your choice) experience we are also able to cater for this option! Simply choose and pre-order your pottery and we will take care of the rest. We have a limited selection of pottery online to suit most ages and tastes at our SHOP - or you are welcome to pop into the studio and choose from over 120 ranges of pottery which we have in stock.

If you need an equipment kit (brushes, palettes etc), you are welcome to borrow this from the studio, there is a deposit required - which is refunded when the kit is returned intact (kit loan is for 7 days). Remember you will need to arrange to collect and drop off your pottery to the studio in Ferndown, we can offer delivery please contact us for a quote. Once the pottery is returned to the studio it will be glazed & fired and your will receive notification to collect within 7-14 days, so you can distribute the pottery back to your party-goers.

The Technical Stuff
STUDIO PARTIES

I do not offer supervised sessions and the studio will be in use alongside your party (unless you book a private** Sunday session or a clay workshop - where you will have a dedicated member of staff during your session), so the price for pottery painting parties is the same as the pottery your choose. There is no deposit to pay, simply book your table.

If you would like to book a clay workshop party, we take a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking (to cover the cost of materials)

We have a range of pottery which starts at £7.50 (a flat coaster, which comes with a cork backing - available in the studio - call to order) and our average kids animal pottery shapes are around £15. All prices include pottery, paint, glazing & firing.

Parties for children must be supervised by parents and typically take 1-1.5 hours

I am happy to offer a serving plate and knife to cut your birthday cake (remember to bring your own candles, paper plates & serviettes)

No outside drinks or snacks are allowed in the studio. Drinks & snacks purchased in the studio are not included in the price of the pottery.

Unfortunately I do not have space for additional parents to sit, especially on busy days such as Saturdays & school holidays, unless they are also painting, only 2-3 supervising parents per children's party please (dependant on party size) - call if you are unsure.

PAINT AT HOME PARTIES

A 20% non-refundable deposit (deducted from the final balance), plus a refundable kit deposit* of £30 is taken at the time of booking. Please see my party T&C's for my cancellation policy.

Booking can be made via email or telephone and deposits/payment (via paypal/bank transfer) must be made before confirmation of your selected date. The balance of the party can be paid in store when collecting your party pack.

We can offer delivery at a cost of £5 plus mileage of 45p per mile (calculated as 3 return journeys to and from the studio in Ferndown for kit delivery, collection and final pottery delivery)

** The studio is available for private bookings and you will have full use of the space and staff for £25 per hour on Sundays (on top of the cost of your pottery - minimum 2 hours)
