Clay Workshop: Hanging Signs

Join me to hand make your very own hanging signs from clay, great for individual rooms, names or even your favorite quote or slogan - there are so many possiblities with this workshop! 

We will start by using a wide selection of stamps (including a large and small alphabet set, under the sea, flower and leaf, autumnal, snowflake and geometric patterns) and even shaped cutters to imprint our unique designs into the clay, after which we will carefully (free hand) cut out the perfect shape for your hanger.  Then we will use specialist under glaze paints to add a splash of colour to our pieces.  

After the session is complete I will then take your pieces to be dried, fired, glazed (and fired again!) and will complete them with simple wire to allow you to securely hang your pieces straight out of the bag! 

The session is £25 per person, with a £5 deposit required to secure your place. This session will not require any heavy lifting or rolling as the equipment provided will be doing all the difficult bits.  Enough clay will be provided to make two large hanging signs or four small, tile sized hangers.  Sharp tools will be used during this session therefore it is advised that all participants are over 11-12 years old.  All children must be accompanied by an adult participant.  You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks to this venue.
