FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ARE THE PAINTS EDIBLE?
The paints supplied are actually a form of glaze, so when your pots are fired the special paint will not burn off (as most other things will during firing). They are non-toxic and fully washable, but NOT EDIBLE and we would not recommend that you let your child eat the paint or place it in their mouth. As always we would as parents or guardians to please supervise small children when painting your pots.
HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER FOR DIY HOME PAINTING?
Simply go to the Shop tab and choose the pottery you would like to paint and pay. Once you have paid we will contact you to let you know when your pottery is available for collection from the Ferndown studio.

Please contact Sarah direct on 07723 373698 or email at email@example.com to book your party - we will discuss your exact requirements and take a deposit (if needed) etc to confirm the booking.

Studio: We keep your pottery for glazing & firing and will contact you for collection - usually within 7-14 days.
WHEN DO I GET MY POTTERY BACK?
We endeavour to fire and return your pottery within two weeks - occasionally it may take longer (if we're very busy) - we will let you know if we expect a delay. Once it is ready to return we will contact you to collect your item(s). If you have hosted a party all the pieces will be delivered to the party host and you will be responsible to distribute them back to your guests. If you leave your pottery with us for more than 3 months we will dispose of it (as we have limited storage space)
WE HAVE BROKEN OR LOST SOME OF THE ITEMS IN OUR HOME PAINT KIT - WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
If our kits are returned broken or not intact, the deposit taken at the time of payment will be retained to cover the cost of losses/breakages.
Paint at Home: Once an item is collected, it is your responsibility to ensure it is not broken, chipped or cracked (this compromises the integrity of the pottery meaning it cannot be fired), we do not refund items broken during the painting process. Occasionally items crack during firing because of tiny imperfections in the pottery - on these occasions we automatically provide a full refund or replacement for the broken item - you choose.
