Clay Workshop: Let's Make Wind Chimes

During this two-hour session we will be using hand building techniques, as demonstrated by Sarah, to create your own set of rustic, ceramic wind chimes.  We will also be using a range of rollers and stamps to make your piece unique!  

Included in the session price, once the chimes have been through the first firing Sarah will be using a paint and wipe back technique to finish your pottery in the colour of your choice after the first firing (as shown on the sample photo), alternatively, for an additional £5 you are welcome to drop into the studio and paint your chimes yourself during our regular opening hours. Once your piece is fully glazed and ready for return, you will be supplied with string and dowel to hang the piece in the configuration of your choice.

There is no heavy lifting or rolling during this session as the equipment supplied takes the hard work out of working the clay - just bring yourself and we will have some fun with clay!

The session is £30 per person, or £35 if you choose to paint your piece yourself, with a £5 deposit required to secure your place (taken off the balance of the session on the night of the workshop).  You will be supplied with enough clay to make three wind chime strings - as shown  in the sample photo.  We have a selection of snacks and drink available for you to purchase at the venue.  The deposit is non-refundable for this session.
