Clay Workshop; Octopus Fun

Join me to make a super cute and fun octopus from clay.  Each person will be provided with a pre-cut clay base, and full tuition will be given to create your own cheeky little octopus. This is a beginner level project and suitable for those aged 8+.

During the workshop we will be using techniques such as:

Rolling and coiling clay;

Score and slip to attach pieces together;

Modelling the clay using ours hands and tools; 

Creating and attaching pinch pots to our octopus legs to create a cute little head, complete with eyes and tongue; 

Finally we will then be using a little paint to add some colour to the piece.   

Each piece will then be dried, fired, glazed and re-fired - so you will have a durable and memorable decorative item for your home. Items will not be available to take home at the end of the day and the drying/firing process can take up to five weeks.  

The 2 hour session is £18 per person, and it is aimed for those aged 8 plus - adults welcome too.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to help the kids get the most out of their session (each adult is welcome to bring more than one child). All adult helpers are free, just let me know you are coming so I can arrange the seating accordingly.
