Kids Clay Workshop

Join me to make your very own hanging coiled butterfly or hanging stamped fishbowl.  Each child will be provided with a pre-cut clay base (so pre-order of your shape is essential), which they can then use to add their own embellishments. 

For butterflies we will be rolling and coiling clay, using a wooden cutter to cross-hatch and attach the clays together (with a smidge of water to help the bond) into the design of your choice and then using little paint to add some colour to their piece.   

For the fishbowls we will be choosing and placing our stamps before painting our pieces with a special underglaze paint.   If you want to use coiled clay on the fishbowl or stamps on the butterfly, that is not problem - this is a fun creative session where the kids decide what they create!  

Each piece will then be dried, fired, glazed and re-fired - so you will have a durable and memorable decorative item for your home. Items will not be available to take home at the end of the day and the drying/firing process can take up to four weeks.  

The 2 hour session is £18 per child, and it is aimed for children aged 8 plus.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to help the kids get the most out of their session (each adult is welcome to bring more than one child). All adult helpers are free, just let me know you are coming so I can arrange the seating accordingly.
