Kids Pinch Pots

£15 per person (supporting adults free)

A free-style session, we will be showing the children techniques to build pinch or coiled pots, but the rest is up to them! During this session we will be using white earthenware clay and your pots will be returned wuth a clear glaze. If you prefer to paint your pot you are welcome to come back to the studio and paint your pot once they have been fired with our studio paints - this extra session will cost an additional £5 at the time of painting.

Each child will have approximately 1/2kg of clay, which will be enough to design and make their own pot or two during a two hour workshop.

Each piece will then be dried, fired, glazed and re-fired - so you will have a durable and memorable decorative item for your home. Items will not be available to take home at the end of the day and the drying/firing process can take up to five weeks.  

This is a simple technique and suitable for ages 8+ (under 11's must have adult supervision).  A £5 deposit is required to secure your place, which is taken off the balance, which is payable at the session.  I accept cash or card.

Our after school sessions are designed to be fun, and to give your child the materials and time to have a creative outlet with a medium they may not have a lot of access to. In our experience, kids have a great imagination and normally start with an end-vision for each piece they create, with very little input from anyone around them, so adults are invited to support, but only if needed/requested.
